I’m a reporter and editor at Knight Lab where I cover media and technology and help build our award-winning software. Before that, I covered the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, energy development, and adventure sports as a reporter, magazine writer, and fellow at the Carnegie and Knight Foundations.
A few years back, I spent three months reporting from unique social worlds, including a travelling carnival, off-shore oil rig, and New Orleans flophouse. My work has appeared in Crain’s Chicago Business, Canoe & Kayak, Denver Post, and other publications. My reporting has been featured in The Atlantic, Re/Code, Business Insider, Huffington Post, Gawker, Mashable and many others.
I also helped to start a university in the Middle East.
